The visionary Behind the crown
The founder of the 2027 Texas 8 Ball Queen Championship is a graduate of Texas A&M University with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing. As a Certified Flight Registered Nurse (CFRN) and Certified Emergency Nurse (CEN), she understands what it means to earn a title worth having. She discovered pool as a way to decompress from the demands of a high-pressure healthcare career, and what began as friendly games in a local dive bar in Grand Prairie, Texas, soon became a passion for competition and a mission to grow the game for women.
The Texas 8 Ball Queen brand was built through a growing social media presence and countless hours playing in Texas bars. As she traveled to local events she recognized a recurring challenge—there were very few women competing. Instead of accepting the lack of opportunities, she created one.
Having competed in both APA and BCA events, she developed a preference for BCA-style competition because it rewards precision, strategy, and player development. That philosophy serves as the foundation of the Texas 8 Ball Queen Championship, where the goal is not simply to host another regional tournament, but to create a title worthy of earning.
The inaugural 2027 Texas 8 Ball Queen Championship is the first step toward building an annual tradition and one of Texas's premier women's 8-ball events. More than a tournament, it is a championship where the title of Texas 8 Ball Queen is earned through dedication, skill, perseverance, and heart.
